This hands-on workshop invites participants to explore the art of adorning a ceramic vessel. You’ll learn how to decorate and personalise your ceramic vessel using clay. Explore texture, pattern, repitition carving to create a piece that feels completely your own.
You’ll be guided through different ways to approach decorating a vessel, with plenty of opportunity to experiment and develop your own style. Whether you prefer bold patterns, delicate details or something a little more abstract, this workshop is all about making your piece uniquely yours.
Bring along a leather hard wheel thrown or hand built vessel like a cylinder, anything from 15cm, use white clay if possible (PB 103/Stoneware 10). If you don’t have a vessel on the night you can practice sculpting on a slab of clay.
